Well worth the cost

I am teaching myself flute (at 67)but decided I needed some lessons to help with technique and practice. I follow Amelie on YouTube and saw these lessons so took the plunge.
Excellent videos and the exercises with mp3 recordings is amazing and I now find myself practicing each lesson before moving on to the next so am more disciplined in my learning whilst also getting to play pieces.

Great class! I am up to Lesson 10 (of 15)

I played the flute for six years more than 40 years ago (!), and this is a great place to start to re-build my skills. Amelie is an excellent teacher - very easy to listen to and follow. Lessons (at least so far) are fairly short (10-15 minutes) which give lots of time for practice. I spent several days repeating the exercises and pieces in Lessons 7 and 8 before moving on to Lesson 9.

One minor thing - it would be good to include a paragraph or two on taking care/cleaning the flute. Other than that, I wouldn't change anything about the course.

Also, when I had trouble downloading the course (my computer issues), the tech support was great!

The best place to start, actually

I'm not really a beginner with the flute, but more of an intermediate player. Anyway, I bought this course as a "refresher" because I'm delighted with Amelie's teaching on her YouTube videos and I can say frankly that this is really a great beginner course. Her explanations are pretty straight-forward, giving you the lessons and exercises that you really need without the unnecessary mess that other methods fall in sometimes ...

Also I've found the selection of etudes and songs to learn and play so smartly chosen. Probably few, compared to other methods, but it's really a great selection. Again, less is more. The videos are recorded in outstanding quality, and all the complimentary material (videos, mp3 and PDF's) is awesome and perfectly organized in folders for each lesson.

In my humble opinion, the price of the course is really low compared to what you get, so if you're looking for a good beginner course, this is a no brainer.

Great flute intro

Been working through these and am maybe a third of the way through. Really appreciate the mix of clear video explanation, straightforward 1-2 page write-ups per lesson, and sound clips for reference.

Love this course!

I live this course. Easy to use, the instructor is personable and explains the concepts beautifully. This is a great course for a beginner, like me!
